STEP 5. SECUREONCLOUD CLIENT REGISTRATION WITH A RUNNING LICENSE SERVER MANAGER

A simple example is distributed for free with the License Manager. Adding in your project a Reference to the SecureOnCloudClient.dll library makes the licensing process as simple as this:

 //Create new License Client

SOCClient mClient = new SOCClient(sServerIP, nServerPort, nReconnectTime);

       //Try to register

       bool Registered = mClient.Register();

The example consists of a simple Windows Form with two buttons to Register and Unregister to the License Server.

Only three parameters are required:

 - Server IP.

       - Server Port.

       - Reconnection Time: Time in milliseconds to send a keep-alive message to the server to check that server is still up and running.

When trying to register there are three possibilities:

 - Activation Successful.

       - Activation Unsuccessful: Client has connected to server, but there are no free licenses available.

       - Activation Unsuccessful: Client could not connect to server. One possible reason is that a firewall is blocking port 9001.

The License Server status keeps a log of connected and registered clients.
